So im running GTX 650 Ti Boost and i noticed that i have vsync on in the nvidia control panel and i was wondering is it ok to leave it on instead of turning it off?

Solution
Leaving it on can cause performance drops. It tries to make the gpu output an image when the monitor can display it, but unless it's G-Sync it doesn't work very well with higher frame rates than your monitor can display. Example: a 60 Hz monitor running a game that your gpu can run 100 fps for will have some performance fluctuations due to mismatched output and display.
