I'm finding it difficult to decide between these two SSDs. They have very similar performance, and they are both made by trusted brands. However, the SK Hynix is £47 and the 850 evo is £57. I could use this extra £10, to get a better CPU cooler (i was originally looking at a Thermaltake true spirit 90m to fit in a narrow case).

Solution
The 850-EVO has some advantages. It's more durable thanks to the type of NAND chips used, Samsung SSD tend to have faster random reads/writes which makes faster in general.

Other than that, not much. The durability and general speed of the SK Hynix must not worry you either way. You won't even notice any difference between the two, maybe at some tests and having them face to face only.
