Hey there, this is my first build and I really need help with a couple of things, in my opinion I love this PC but theres still some questions that need to be answered. This is mainly a gaming pc so nothing very amazing like an x99 inside or a titan. I'll be numbering my questions but first I need to say something, I know I'm spending a lot of money on peripherals but that's because I'm doing a whole setup, but I really just need you guys to focus on the actual pc not the setup, thank you :D.

1. Will all my components fit inside my case, like my 2 extra 140mm on top of the 2 included 140mm ones, my CPU cooler etc.? I'm asking this because my case is a mid-tower so its kinda tight compared to full towers

2. How should i put my fans in this case if you already own a Define r5, I have 2 extra fans and if I can put them, how should I?

3. Do I need anything extra for this build? Like extra cables and all that.

4. Is everything ok for running max settings at 1080p? I can also dip down to high.

5. This might be something personal but, any tips on building your first pc? I need everything to be perfect.

6. Best video on youtube to guide you through everything while building a pc?

7. This is pretty simple but, should I have my PSU facing up or down because of the fan? I've heard some people do this.

Solution
1. Yes, all componets will fit inside your case nice and snug.
2. For your fans, you should use 2 fans in the front in a push configuration where it forces air INTO the case and have a fan on the back and one on the top for exhaust fans. If you have a side panel with vent holes on it, putting a air filter onto it isnt a bad investment.
3. Only extra cabes you will need are mayb and ethernet cable if youe wifi card acts up, but you shouldnt need anymore.
4. Yes, this will be able to game at 1080p. I'd try to squeeze out a Geforce 970 if you can fit it into your budget since it does have a superior architechture to the amd side
5. Take your time, no need to rush when handling very delicate electronics. Wear a static strap if you want, i...

1. It should
2. More fans should be intake than exhaust. Make sure that the exhaust are on the top and back.
3. You shouldn't
4. Yes.
5. TAKE YOUR TIME ON CABLE MANAGEMENT!!!!! For example, I spent an hour on cable managment so far on my new build and all I've done are the fans!
6. Any linustechtips build log on youtube will walk you through most of the stuff.

ok, answers:
1. yes, it will all fit in the case.
2. you might want to move the included fan that's in the front to the back, and put the noctua fans as intakes, so even tho there are an equal amount of fans, the pressure will be slightly positive.
3. just an OS.
4. ultra 60FPS (or higher sometimes) all day long. enjoy it. you said not to comment on your setup, but the 280x might not be able to take full advantage of the 144Hz refresh rate of the monitor, a GTX 970 or higher will be ideal.
5. TEST THE COMPONENTS OUT OF THE CASE FIRST TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WORKS. ok im sorry that was all caps, but this is VERY important. other then that, plug your 8-pin CPU power before you lower the board into the case, plan your cable management, and watch a-lot of "how to build a PC videos, as it will tell you everything you need to know.
6. haha I didn't read this question when I wrote num 5, but I guess you already know what to do in terms of videos ;).
anyway, this a very good one:

its a less powerful PC than your, but its a great guideline.

1. All your components will fit fine including the fans
2. I would put 2 in the top pulling air out
3. You shouldn't need any extra cables
4. I would go with an R9 290, here is a great deal on one http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-1003623l
5. Just don't rush it and be sure to follow all instructions.(AKA don't screw the motherboard to the bottom of the case without standers... I saw someone do that once and it caught on fire because of it shorting out)
6. And this is a rather good guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls

davidarad02 my 280X isn't powerful enough for the 144hz xD but I'm happy it runs things on ultra, plus I will be upgrading the gpu into something very powerful in the future, i already have a windows 8.1 key. You've all been a big help really

5. Take your time, no need to rush when handling very delicate electronics. Wear a static strap if you want, i dont use one but if you work on carpet you might want one. also start your cable management early, put in your PSU last so that everything can be calculated and have adequate space .
6. Just look at one of many Linus tech tips's build videos. He does talk quite a bit so just skip ahead to what you need to see.

Good luck and with you the best in your build!
