Hello,

I am in search of a tablet that supports Ethernet, HDMI and charging at the same time. The one that comes up most often is the Nvidia Shield Tablet. Is this the only one on the market that has these options, you can you all help me out and provide any contenders? I will be using it for game streaming, Netflix, on device movie watching and, of course, occasional web surfing. I am also looking at the Sony Xperia 2 Tablet, but I don't think that it has Ethernet support, let alone all of the options that I mentioned.

Thank you in advance for any and all help!

Thank you all for your response!

I am sorry. I should have specified a few things. I am not necessarily looking for a tablet with an Ethernet port, just the ability to use one, along with an HDMI cord when I need to. Say, for example, I am feeling lazy and I want play my PC games from the comfort of my bed. I would like to be able to hook up my tablet to my Ethernet connection (home is hardwired everywhere) and hook it up to my TV via HDMI. Or, if I am in the living room and don't want to go in the office, do the same as I mentioned above.

I know a tablet is about portability, and I will be using it wirelessly for movies, surfing and such. I just want to have the support of the things I mentioned.

Thanks!

The ability to use a hardwired ethernet port is only available from a few tablets and usually only from a USB adapter. Tablets don't generally have hard wired support. Full sized HDMI is getting hard to find as tablets have gotten thinner. Same with separate charging port.

Better connection for streaming games to various spots in my house. Wifi works, just most of the time it is in 720p, and I will be on 1080p TVs.
