I am currently in the market for some nice blue individually sleeved cables like these http://www.corsair.com/en/professional-individually-sleeved-dc-cable-kit-type-3-generation-2-blue
http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-CU-1300-B9
but am worried that they will not work with my psu. I have a Rosewill Photon 550w psu. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182321&cm_re=photon_550-_-17-182-321-_-Product
I have read that you should use cables from your psu's brand, but I cannot find any sleeved cables from Rosewill. Are there any blue sleeved cables that will work with my psu? If there are no compatible cables for my psu, which 750w psu should I look into getting? I would prefer to get a good corsair or evga one, but am open to suggestions. I understand that this will mean that I will be out quite a bit of money, but having a good looking computer is worth a little extra cash to me.

Also, is the psu the only thing to worry about when choosing sleeved cables, or does the brand of my mobo, hdd, and gpu matter? I have seen people talking about the compatibility between sleeved cables and their psu, but not any other component.

My build (if it matters)

Also also, please be kind, as this is my first time posting. I have used this site for a year know and have finally not been able to find an answer to a problem.

Have you considered cable extenders?

^^ those are just an example but I have used cheaper generic ones in the past.

My main issue is with the 20+4 pin cable. It is horrendously big and ugly. It has a see through mesh sleeve covering the (easily seen) red/yellow/orange cables, so painting it wouldn't work. It is also not very long or flexible and sits right in front of the side panel. This one cable ruins a perfectly good set of cables.
I thought about painting the cables, but I don't think I would do a good job, and I think sleeved cables would look better.

When I first got my card, I was planning on painting the red part of the shroud blue. I unscrewed the whole shroud from the board, but a wire that connected the led on the shroud to the board made it impossible to separate the two. The black part of the shroud came of just fine, but the red part couldn't get more than an inch away from the board. I didn't want to risk botching the paint job and getting some on the board.

Would those replace my cables, or would I just add those to the end of them to make them longer? If they just add on, that wouldn't work very well because there isn't a whole lot of cable management room in my case as is.
