Bought the Samsung SSD 850 EVO but I have no screws that fit to mount it. Does anyone know what screws I'll need? I'm from the UK

What is your case? (There will either be a mounting solution in the case or a mount with fitting screws.)

If not, the drive SHOULD be delivered with a small bag of screws.

If neither is the case, use two sided tape (strong) or another double sided solution and plaster the thin, non heat generating drive to the back of the wall of the case, or any flat surface you can find in there which isn't too near heat generating components.

This is the beauty and versatility of an SSD.

I have a Plastic Box that I bought that has all kinds of Hardware in it. You can find them at at most places that sell Computer parts. Those things contain every kind of sreww that you could possibly need and are good to have around.

Commiserations, really

See my above post for suggestions you too can apply

Hi, I have a plastic box with every screw imaginable for the computer, so it isn't an issue for me. I gave him a link to where he could find some in the U.K. I just haven't gotten around to doing anything with the SSD yet ( I have a 256Gb Samsung 830 in here now.

I originally bought my case with a pre built pc at overclockers and I don't think they sent the screws spare, but thanks for the info on what to get

It would depend on the case, Mine ( Cooler Master 912 HAF ) does have a 2.5 inch cage in the bottom and had screws for it.

Just buy some normal screws or look at the case slot for the SSD.

6-32 screws....

DONT spend money on an SSD case slot. It is a waste of money, there are no moving parts on an SSD. If you have no way of mountain the SSD inside your case, just use velcro to mount the damn thing. you'll be finee.
