Hey guys,

My current build sits at a little over 3 years old right now, and I'm looking to updgrade a few things, without gutting the most important components. I plan on getting an SSD soon, and possibly upping the RAM by another 8GB (probably doubling on the same RAM I have now). Please let me know what kind of things I can do in order to bump up some specs needed to assist running some of the upcoming game titles. I really appreciate any help and support!

Current build:

-Fractal Design Arc Midi Black High Performance PC Computer Case w/ USB 3.0 and 3 x Fractal High Performance 140mm fans

-Intel® Core™ i5-3570K Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.80 GHz)

-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

-G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

-SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

-SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition OC 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

8GB is plenty for gaming. Don't add an additional 8GB (2x4GB) unless you know you are running out of resources or doing other intense work past gaming (I.E. Adobe). It would be nice if your CPU was overclocked to a smooth 4.0 - 4.2 GHZ, but that isn't exactly a requirement as it is still a very capable processor overclocked or not. Good parts all around really with no compelling reason to upgrade anything other than the GPU. ...and add an SSD.

I took a guess on your MB, but it is worth noting that if your MB is crossfire capable you could pick up a second HD 7870 and run a dual GPU setup. That would be the more cost effective upgrade path, but would put power demand right up there just under the max of what your Seasonic 620w can handle. Consider this your budget oriented upgrade path...
