I've been loving GTA 5 for the PC but I'm not getting top notch performance on ultra settings despite what everyone says about the 970 being powerful enough for it. I'm just wondering if SLI'd 970s would give me better performance. I basically want to be able to run the game at 60+ fps on ultra settings at 1080p. Would SLI'd 970s give me that?

It seems like they released a patch that improved the performance but I'm still getting 20-30 fps on ultra with msaa 2x. Could it have anything to do with the fact that I'm using windows 7 instead of 8?

Reset all your in game settings, Im sure there is a button for it? And use the Ultra preset. If the game lets you increase something further, that setting is not part of Ultra. All those settings are above ultra, people often get this wrong- so its an important test to find out whether or not its your hardware, the game or a driver causing it.
