Trying to reach a stable OC, unfamiliar with new chipset and need advice

Hi

I just invested in a new system and I would like to achieve a stable OC of 4.2-4.4 ghz to satisfy my overclocking needs.

I am however abit at a loss, my specs are the following:

MSI X99s SLI PLUS
Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E (with Noctua D15 Cooling)
Kingston HyperX FURY Black Series - DDR4 - 32 GB : 4 x 8 GB - DIMM 288-PIN - 2666 MHz / PC4-21300
2 x MSI GTX970 Gaming 4Gb in 2-way sli mode
Samsung 840 EVO SSD

After reading abit online I quickly came to the conclusion that I would have to boost my core voltage to around 1.3ish to get an OC of 4.2 and simply disabling turbo mode/speedstepping. It seems easy to do but I'm concerned about the amount of ram I have... on my old i7 930 I had to boost the ddr voltage aswell to get a stable OC because I had 12 gb ddr3 running at 18xx mhz. Do you think I have to change any other settings? I would like my ram to run as 2666 if possible and achieve an OC of 4.2 - 4.4 ish.

Do you think I need to change any other settings? I would appreciate any advice.

You need to go in baby steps, change the multiplier and run prime 95 keeping a eye on temps.
If stable bump it up more, run prime 95.
When you get to where it's not stable add some to the Vcore, run prime 95.
Rinse and repeat till you hit your goal, are getting to high temps, or to close to the Vcore safe limit.

Ye but if I need to change other settings while attempting that - like dram voltage because of my amount of ram - then I won't get anywhere cuz the main voltage won't be the problem? What I'm asking is, are there other settings I should be playing with?
