Increasing Intel HD Graphics Dedicated Video Memory through BIOS, would it help with gaming?

I want to get a good graphic card but well I can't right now, so I'm working with Intel HD Graphics 4600. I saw this guy's website about increasing the dedicated video memory, here http://. In my BIOS I had 64 MB as the default and raised it to 512 MB. Will this help with gaming? I have a desktop, Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GHz, RAM - 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz, 64 bit operating system, Windows 7 Prof. Also in the manual for the motherboard it says my options in BIOS are to set the the intel processor graphics memory allocation from 32M to 1024M, but in BIOS the highest it will let me set it is 512. I figure a GB of dedicated memory would be better than 512 MB, but it won't let me. Why can't I set it higher and would it make a difference? Thanks for help!!:pt1cable:

It will make a little difference, the memory allocation is actually dynamic and it will 'take' more away from the system if it needs it and you have it to spare.
You are either setting the minimum amount , the shared amount, or in some laptops, the max amount it can take from the system ram - depending on the bios.

Since yours is only letting you allocate 512, I assume you only have 4gb of ram. I'd suggest upping this to 8 if you can

Thanks popatim, I have 8 gb of ram but in properties of my computer it says only 7.45 gb is usable. that might be the reason I can't set it above 512..is there a way to make all 8 gb of ram usable? I don't now why all of it is not usable in the first place.
