Hi,
yesterday i've installed new graphics card and new powersupply to my old pc.
But games are running even slower than before, i have no idea, where can be the problem...
Suggested powersupply is 400W and i have now 550W.
I had 9400gt before...
Everything works, just the fps is like really low (AC 3-all max settings +- 15fps; LoL-all max settings +- 30fps)
GPU: GeForce GTX960 (MSI)
PowerSupply: Evolveo 550W
CPU: Intel core 2 duo 2,4Ghz
Motherboard: IDK (energystar)
RAM: DDR2; 2GB
HDD: SAMSUNG HD502IJ ATA Device

Solution
in any case, you definitely need more than a gpu upgrade. i would start with something like this, keep in mind you can overclock this cpu quite a bit, but it still isn't a good substitute for a solid quad core

i doubt that's the problem, usually the onboard graphics are completely disabled when a gpu is installed. my guess would be a driver issue. make sure the old ones are completely unistalled, you might even have to use third party software...

I've done that and nothing has changed...
I have official drivers and everything...
Maybe if the CPU is bad can it bottleneck that hard, that the old GPU is with it better than this one?

7r1bb1e may be on to something. If your old card was 1GB and the new one is 2GB, Windows will set aside more system memory for a screen buffer with the new card. That may be enough of a hit to hamper performance with the slow dual core.
