Hello, can somebody tell me what's the maximum temperature that the AMD Radeon R7 240(2GB DDR3) can withstand? I think mine is overheating because it sometimes reaches 89-90 degrees Celsius while playing Battlefield 3. I haven't cleaned my PC since I bought it(about 5 months ago) so the accumulated dust may be the problem but I'm not sure.

that is a fine temperature. the 200 series of cards can run upto 100 degrees. it is high, but it is still ok

I currently have my PowerColor AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB overclocked (quite significantly) and have noticed the GPU getting closer and closer to 90° after averaging 70-80. I'm guessing the thermal paste isn't holding up too well for this card, despite only purchasing this system in late December. To make matters worse, it's been idling around 45°-50°. It's certainly concerning as PowerColor doesn't have any sort of information on the temperature this card can handle.
