My PC is slower than my older one and I have accelerated graphics rendering enabled. My question is if I get 4 gb of ram more than what I have which is 4 but only 2 is available(I don't know why) then would that improve the rendering time?
PC specs
Cpu fx-6300
Gpu 960gtx 2gb ftw 2.0
Ram 4gb(2 available)

If you are using a big program like Sony Vegas, you might want to look into getting an extra 4 Gb of RAM. If i understood correctly, you only have two slots for your RAM and both are being used by 2 sticks of 2 Gb each. If so you will have to get a brand new 2 sticks of 4, which will end up costing at least 50$.

I have a 1 slot 4gb ram stick with 3 slots left to use

yeah, go for the extra 4 Gb of RAM, about 30$

And if you could try to find the same stick as your first one that may reduce chances of having any problems
(BTW when you plug it in, put it in the same color as your first one grey, grey or black, black, whichever you have)
