Hello Community,

I am building a computer for the first time in many years (Roughly 8). What I created in the past was just a very basic set up.

I have a budget of $5-6,000. I am going to go with a GTX Titan X (1) for now. Two if I am confident that I could do the whole SLI thing on my own. I am very concerned with overheating since I normally have that issue with all of my PCs.

If I get a case such as NZXT Phantom 820 Series ATX and only use fans would this be sufficient? Also how many extra / what size fans should I get?

I was also wondering about Raid 0. Does this make much of a different? Or if I go with one SSD should I have pretty much the same experience?

Thank you for any help that you can provide.

With your budget i would go all the way. Water cooling isnt that hard to install. For some even easier than some big air cooling units. There are online guides how to install them. There are videos on youtube too.

This would be a killer PC. PSU is 1200W so you can add another Titan there. Im guessing you are planning to do some really heavy editing, 3d graphics otherwise it will be a huge waste of money if all you want to do is to stream, record and edit gameplays.

You will want the largest case you can find with the most fans supported. I like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353010&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Are you planning to play games/ do some editing, if yes, is it going to be heavy or basic, overclocking. I wouldnt worry about temps that much as the cases itself provide enough airflow inside, especially Full Tower ones. The only concern would be the CPU cooling, but that depends on what you are planning to do with it.

Hello The-Sentinel,

It would be pretty much for everything (Gaming, editing, streaming, etc).

Would Liquid Cooling be easy enough to install if I do a basic set up? Or would you not recommend for a first timer?

Yes/No to 2X SSD or one would be sufficient?
