Unable to open 3rd party FTP Server Software in Windows 8.1

I am not able to open the application, so initially I thought that it could be due to the FTP software. However, I can open up the FTP application in Windows Vista and 7. My friend tried to open it in his Windows 8.1 machine and it works.

I have tried to run the SFC\SCANNOW but it didn't help.

Therefore, the problem is peculiar to my Windows 8.1 machine.

Appreciate all the IT experts out there can help me.

Hi,

I have checked. It has nothing to do with the network settings, etc.

Basically, it is the 3rd party FTP Server software that cannot be opened in my Windows 8.1 machine while it can in other Windows 8.1, Vista, 7 machines.

I strongly believe that some the files are corrupted or missing. If this is the case, is there a way to repair or recover these files?
