Hi there.

I have a new hard drive in my computer and used the Samsung data migration software to clone the OS drive onto it.

So now I have my C drive, and a new H drive with the same data.

How can I change my H drive into my new C drive?

Thanks.

Hi, cueshark.

Follow @shivababbli's advice, but when you boot your computer, do that with just the SSD connected to the motherboard. It should take the C drive letter automatically. After that, go ahead and connect the HDD (backup any data if you need to) and then repartition and reformat it however you like and choose the letters for the partitions yourself.

Hope that helps.

So let me clarify please,

I should disconnect ALL the hard drives except the new SSD that I want to be the OS drive, and then boot up the computer and go into the bios and select this drive as the C drive?

Then once the Pc has booted up, I can then shut down and plug all the other hard drives back in?

Cueshark.
