MSI GTX 750ti: using a 6 or 8-pin connectors, or both?

Dear all

I just got a new MSI GTX 750ti 2gbddr5oc it has both 6-pin and an 8-pin power connector. It says in the manual:

"Connect to 6/8-pin power connector (if any)"

What the hell does that mean? Connect one of them or both?

I've seen some youtube of installing the gtx750 but not this model and they only had one 6-pin connector

Means connect either the 6-pins or the 8-pins connector; connect just one.

Seems like a generic instructions. I can't find an MSI version of that card that requires additional power connectors. Probably why it says "If applicable"

Yeah, Im pretty sure none of the 750ti's require a power connector, I'm wondering what GPU he's looking at that has those.

There are a few, that have a single 6-pin connector. They are intended for heavy overclocking though. Pretty easy to take a 60W GPU over 75W, so they added the 6-pin as insurance, and to provide, hopefully, better stability rather then relying solely on the motherboard to deliver clean power.

It's so embarrassing......

when I took GTX out of the bag, there was no power connector slots. It runs from the PCI-E alone.

Never blindly follow the enclosed manual without viewing the actual product, and I'm so sorry I made you all comment on it,

The good thing is, that it works great
