Best Gaming/Boot SSD NO SAMSUNGS

So I made samsung refund my pair of 840 evo 250s, and now I need a 250 or 500 gig SSD. As it seems samsung's 840 problem is somehow unknown to "expert reviewers", I clearly can't trust their advice.

I'm looking at the crucial mx200 500gb and the ocz vector 180 when it's available to me...
But if someone knows of a diamond in the rough out there, I'd love to hear about it,
Thanks

If money is not an issue, Patriot's Ignite 480gb could be a good alternative to Samsung's Evo. It has NAND tech and Phison controller which both have good reliability reviews. It has OK random write and read performance (80k - 75k IOPS I think) but for gaming that's not much of a deal.

The ignite is $20 cheaper than the mx200, got some interesting numbers on it too. Are you saying it's the better choice?
hmm.. the buffer is only half a gig...

I'm very skeptical about that 'twice as fast' since they have similar write and read speed.
As for gaming performance, there is absolutely zero FPS benefit from a faster drive. The only benefit would be faster map loading. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't even notice the difference between 2 ssd in those circumstances.
