Motherboard in question: GIGABYTE G1.Sniper H6 LGA 1150 Intel H97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K Devil's Canyon Quad-Core 3.5GHz LGA 1150 BX80646I54690K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4600
First off, I don't plan to overclock my gaming computer when I build it. However, when I found out that the GIGABYTE Sniper H6 has a different chipset than the CPU (the Devi's Canyon has the Z97 chipset I believe, and the GIGABYE Sniper H6 has the H97), I was wondering if it is even possible to overclock if I ever felt the need to. The next question that came to my mind is: are these parts even compatible, even though they both have the LGA 1150 socket type?
(Also side question: If it turns out that the parts are incompatible/unable to be overclocked, can anyone name a good motherboard with the 1150 slot that's around the same $100-$110 price range?)
If you guys can answer these two main questions above,and/or answer the third side question, I would appreciate it.
