I have an external HDD with 2 partitions - F: and G:. A few weeks back partition G: went RAW during a power outage. Chkdsk did not set things right. TestDisk revealed both MFT and MFT mirrors were corrupted. The partition in windows explorer turned with the error message "Drive G: is not accessible" A few means to get the partition accessible turned futile and in that frustration I had the partition formatted in the hope of recovering data using a Data Recovery Software.
I have tried a few set of softwares like GetBack Data for NTFS, EaseUS, MiniTool Power Data Recovery, OnTrack Easy Recovery Professional, R-Studio. Though these softwares does a pretty good job in recovering files and folders, the data recovered is all jumbled up and down with not their original filenames or the directory structure.
PLEASE ADVISE ANY METHOD/SOFTWARE THAT CAN HELP ME RECOVER THE EXACT FOLDER/DIRECTORY STRUCTURE WITH THE ORIGINAL FILENAMES I HAD IT SAVED IN MY HARD DISK BEFORE IT WENT RAW. Example: Mp3 Songs/English/Michael Jackson Hits/Dangerous/Dangerous.mp3
I do not want a software where all the Mp3 songs are collectively recovered with filenames File1.mp3, File2.mp3, File3.mp3 and so on. It's not just Mp3 songs, a whole load of Word documents, Photoshop PSD Files, Softwares, and all I had in the partition G: Any help in recovering the exact directory/folder structure/tree is much appreciated.
