Converting External Drive into Internal OS Drive

I just recently got an external SSD for my birthday, and it's pretty nice.
I plan on building a new PC soon, and I was just wondering if it's possible to use a USB to SATA connector to basically convert the SSD into a internal drive.

Actually, you can most likely remove the drive from the enclosure and connect it internally using native SATA, no USB to SATA needed. It will be faster and eliminate the need for adapters. If you wish to again use it externally later, you can put it back in the enclosure.
