I currently have:

i5 4690K
MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4GB (x1)

I was looking to upgrade to another 970, so my question Is that will the CPU i have (i5 4690k) be bottlenecking the 2 970's? Should i upgrade to i7?

Solution
It's not an issue.

First of all, whether the CPU is a bottleneck varies significantly between games but in your case it's unlikely you'd find a noticeable difference for any game.

bottleneck with a haswell i5? whats that never heard of it it doesn't Exist

BTW you say u have a 4670K? and on your post u mentioned a 4690K oh well doesn't matter

anything above a Overclocked 2500K wont bottleneck a GTX970 sli minimum would be a stock Ivy bridge

It depends on the game. You can produce a scenario where an i5-4690K bottlenecks a GTX 760 with the right settings. I wish people would stop acting like there's a clear line where something is or isn't a bottleneck... it all depends on the game and how well it bundles draw calls, how CPU intensive it is in other regards, etc... basically how much CPU the game leaves for the GPU to access.

well if you lower the res low nuff where the CPU will struggle yah maybe

but i don't think someone with a freaking GTX970 SLI would play at anything less than 1080P 120FPS or 1440P 60FPS

im talking about real life scenario and your typical GTX970 sli setup
