1 Card = 16
2 cards = x16/x16
3 cards = x16/x8/x8
4 cards = x16/x8/x8/x8

Tho I own two Rampage boards ... I would advise that the series isn't doing well of late having the distinction of the most returned MoBo (returned after 6 - 12 months of usaage) for the last 2 reporting periods.
Last 6 month period = 8.8% returned
Previous 6 month period = 9.65% returned

The 980 will not even warm up just doing PhysX
