Battlefield 4 Stuck at joining server

I tried to play Battlefield 4 today and when I join a server, it just stays at "joining server" and never gets any further. I've tried restarting my computer, reinstalling BF plugin, and I went to Origin and right clicked on the game and tried repairing the game and nothing worked. I'm not sure what else to try. This is kind of out of the blue. The game is installed on my SSD, but I don't think that would have anything to with this, but I'm not sure. Thanks

Is this your first time playing BF4 online or any game for that matter? Sounds like more of a network issue, check your firewall programs/router, make sure the settings made in them aren't blocking server requests to join.

No I play BF4 all the time What settings specifically should I look for with my router? My firewall isn't blocking anything.

If you've played before and no settings have been changed then try restarting router. Possibly the connection to EA's global server is down between you and them.

Restarting the router didn't work. The game works on my wifes computer, just not mine.

Just need to think what you did before playing last. I'm not too sure but if the firewall is restricting incoming traffic because it had an update that reverted settings, try turning it off.

Seems looking around, its a come and go thing depending on server and most posts i just read are also relating to antivirus programs.

I disabled my firewall and turned off my antivirus (avast) and it is still not working. The only thing different that I can think of from the last time I played a few days ago was I installed GTA 5, but I don't see how that would play into this.

Update adobe flash, punkbuster and try the op's own suggestion as well;

Ok i figured it out I had to search in my start menu "Battlelog" Then install the latest one... Then as thisaint said uninstall it i did that and it asked me to install the latest one and it worked.

I was dreading contacting EA, but they actually helped me! What finally fixed it was doing a clean boot. I went to msconfig and under services tab clicked "hide all Microsoft services" clicked Disable, restarted and BF works now. I'm not really sure what that does but it worked. Thanks for the help

You disabled what? "Clicked disable" is very vague.

He basically disabled all the junk processes he had on there, forcing windows to just use the processes like a fresh install. He obviously had a program installed that BF didn't like.

This is what I did to solve this issue:
Inside origin, right click BF4 and go to Properties - Check the x86 executable. It worked.

I tried what the others recommended, but what worked for me was removing ALL my Firefox plugins and then install the Battelog Web Plugin.

Usually what I try is log out of both Origin and Battlelog, restart Origin and browser, log back in.
