Hello, this is Andrew and I am experiencing an unusual problem.
I have been gone out of town for 3 days and when I got back and turned my PC on , my mouse wasnt moving anymore. I switched it on every port but still nothing, removed the cmos battery, nothing. I guessed that was the mouse because his lights were off aswell.

I went and bought another mice and when I plugged it in the lights came on but nothing, it wouldnt move an inch.
I have reinstalled the windows, nothing, tried everything that came through my mind but nothing, still doesnt work.
I ran out of ideas and I am really stuck.

Thanks for all your help.

Yes, I have did a windows upgrade, my mouse doesnt need any driver or so because I have tested it on a friend's pc and worked fine and in bios everythig seems fine. In safe mode doesnt work either..

it can be a file corruption in windows...i do not know which version of windows you have by the way

or
driver or software conflict. To fix this problem, follow the steps below.

Open Windows Device Manager.
Expand the mouse (mice) option in Device Manager by clicking the + symbol.
Remove all mice listed by highlighting each device and then pressing the Delete key on the keyboard.

or

turn off your computer using the Shut Down option in Windows or pressing the power button and then UNPLUG the PC from the wall outlet. Let it sit for several minutes and then plug it back in.

or

disconnect all USB devices and then restart the machine. once you have restarted, try to connect the USB device that was causing the problem.

If that particular USB port doesn’t recognize it, try another one. If the device is recognized by a different USB port, there could be a hardware problem with one of the USB ports. If no USB port recognizes the device, then it’s probably something else.
