I have just purchased a brand new system: Windows 7, Asus H97 Pro Gamer motherboard, i5, 8gb RAM and it works fine... until I try to install the nvidia drivers for the GTX750Ti (compact model). The vcard shows as a display adapter in device manager. Graphics is fine on a single monitor before I install the driver. Once I install the driver the screen go blank but I can hear the windows bootup chime.

I have tried:
- various version drivers
- updating motherboard intel chipset and bios
- enabling dual screens in the BIOS;
- swapping monitor cables;
- swapping ports for card.

Suggestions would be appreciated

I have had this problem with Nvidea drivers.

The problem is, is that the drivers that you installed are not fully up to date. I went to the manufacturer's website. Boot your PC into safe mode, uninstall the driver and install the new, up to date ones.

I just bought GTX 750 a day ago, and had the same error: after driver update the monitor blacked out.

I've checked a lot of forums regarding this issue, and it seems some motherboards (mostly Asrock) are not welcome cooperating with GTX750.

I had the same issue, bios update, different version of drivers etc. nothing was working.
Then I changed to VGA slot instead of DVI. And voilá, it's working.
Hell I know why. Can be that the chipset is not 100% percent compatible with some MBs? Maybe.
But at least for some hint or help check your cables and slots. For me it was working.
Took 4 hours to find out.
