My gpu's memory clock speed is 5 gbps..but i'm not able to get more than 3100 mhz ..i used firestorm to overclock but when i exceeded more than 3100 mhz in memory clock speed,my system's display was lagging and static . after some times it gives me a message"DCP_WATCHDOGS_VIOLATION" and restarted.
And another question,My memory interface is GDDR5 according to http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-730/specifications.But in TechPowerUp GPU-Z..memory type it shows SDR

And my GPU-Z results are:
Name : NVIDIA Geforce GT 730
GPU : 1287
Bus Interface : PCI-E 1.1x8@x8 1.1
Memory Type: SDR
Bus Width : 64 bit
Memory Size: 2048 MB
Bandwidth : 10.0GB/s
GPU clock : 902 MHz .. Default Clock :902 MHz
Memory Clock:1253 MHz Default Clock: 2505 Mhz
Boost : 902 MHz .. Default Boost :902 Mhz

Solution
Memory Clock:1253 MHz Default Clock: 2505 Mhz --> this indicates only the base memory frequency: you have to double that (DDR = double data rate) to get effective frequencies. This means that your GPU works at 5GHz memory under load (and half of that when idle). I would not try to overclock the card, you will only get instabilities as you could already experience yourself.

As for the SDR report, are you using the latest version of GPU-Z? Make sure you do.
