Looking to have a new computer bought, but not sure what 'bottlenecked' everything else in my old laptop to begin with

Hi. I run GNU/Linux, and the inxi command (inxi -Fxz to be precise) I ran gathered, (among other things):

I then installed wine, and on it NFS Undercover, and couldn't get it to run. Same went for GRID.

I (much) later installed PCSX2 (a PS2 emulator) natively, and the performance was ab-so-lute-ly awful - might as well say it won't run (it mostly didn't anyway - got it to start but progress after that was so slow and little to the point I lost patience and closed PCSX2 having been treated to a blank game-less window).

PCSX-Reloaded (a PS1 emulator) runs perfectly (enough), though.

I'd like to upgrade to something else. With my current laptop (cheaper than some smartphones, I reckon), though, is the graphics not good enough, or is it bottlenecked by the processor, or perhaps by the RAM (1834MB)? (And no, I'm not installing Windows :p)

And any suggestions (1 for each questions below) for an upgrade (but with only intel integrated graphics- don't ask me why) that can, as cheaply as possible, respectively lead to:

NFS undercover running at the lowest settings at ab-so-lute-ly prefect framerate?
The above or with maxed-out settings?
The 2 above questions but for NFS Hot Pursuit (the new one - NFS 6 runs perfectly on my current laptop)
The 2 top questions above for F1 2013
PCSX2 running perfectly?

(Or if you've simply got a system that does one of the above, just spell it('s specs) out, please!)

Thanks.

(I posted the OP)Yeah, I know my laptop's simply too weak (I've changed the thread title to make that a tad clearer) I'm looking for another computer (maybe a replacement laptop or a desktop system replacing my even weaker desktop).

I initially thought the most important thing was a better graphics driver. But I've seen videos of computers elsewhere running decently new games with Intel HD 4000. So......it can't be that alone.

Say, if an imagenary computer has the same specs as above, and I can magically change the processor apart from the integrated graphics, at which point am I enabled to play new games at at least medium setting (n.b. Questions to answers I asked in the opening post are still welcome).

Which Intel processor available would be its equivalent (regardless of the integrated graphics)? Or if I simply need a RAM and graphics update, to what and with what processor? (again, I want to only use Intel integrated and forgive me for not wanting to say why).

Forget about the laptop, it's going to perform about the same as a dirty old man with ED in bed. What specs are your "even weaker desktop"?

My desktop's a Pentium 4 PC with an nvidia 6200 that was later installed. 1 GB of RAM. That's all I remember.

And I actually sort of want to forget about both the laptop and the desktop and have a new laptop/desktop bought based on what I hope to find here.

Edit: Updated thread title again to make it a tad clearer.
