Before I install my SSD, gonna need some help with software

Hi there,
I've just bought a Samsung SSD, and looking to add it to my desktop. I already have 2 HDDs, Windows 8.1 installed as OS. Is there anyway I can have the OS and applications (games) on my SSD and documents on HDD?

So:
You have a 250GB SSD
You have ~1TB used space on your current C drive (HDD)

Obviously, that can't clone over.

You have 2 options:
Reduce the used space on your current drive to below 200GB and clone it over to the new SSD
or
A clean install of the OS and application on the new SSD

I'd bet that a large part of your current used space is movies/pic/downloads, and games.

Investigate exactly what is consuming your current drive space.
Report back with your results.

So much problems with cloning these days, I'd just go for clean install and format ex-C drive HDD.

A clean install of the OS and applications on a new SSD is my 'almost always' recommendation.

You probably don't want to bother with a clean install of windows but if you google "SSD Optimization - The SSD Review" they detail the reasons for a clean install - it's worth the read
