Yesterday I had got all my computer parts out and ready to build, I have:
Intel Core i3 4160
Z87-A ASUS Mother Board
2X4GB (8GB) Ram Ballistix sport DDR3-1600
1 TB Hard drive Seagate
1 R9 280X Vapor X Tri X 3GB VRAM
600W PSU
4 120mm Fans
When we first started this project we had decided to run the Motherboard with the CPU, CPU Fan, RAM, Graphics Card With everything in we ran video from the graphics card to the monitor and we got the bios. Now we set everything in the case it doesn't want to run. For a while I was accidentally running my fans to the PSU and running them to the Motherboard i'm worried that might have fried something. We took out the CPU and reapplied thermal paste. After doing this we had no graphics card in and we got a successful bios again. Ever since we have been running the board its just giving us a Red CPU light. I have tried not having things plugged in like my drive and my fans that did nothing, we still have a Red CPU light.
