So, today I installed a new motherboard and CPU. With this, I needed to install the new drivers needed to use Ethernet.

However, I am getting an error when I try to install it. "The installation of Qualcomm Atheros Killer E220x Drivers 64-Bit appears to have failed"

I have tried uninstalling And reinstalling.

The new motherboard is a gigabyte z97x

Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
download the driver from here but do NOT run the setup:

Extract the zip file to a folder.

Uninstall the previous driver software.

Open device manager
Right click on the ethernet card and choose Update Driver Software
Then choose Browse My Computer For Driver Software
Click the Browse button point it to the Driver folder inside the folder you extracted the ZIP file to.
Click Next
Choose the driver displayed in the list and click the Next button

The only thing I could find in the device manager is 'Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)' so assumed that was the ethernet. Bearing in mind the Ethernet port I'm trying to get working is on the motherboard itself.

After doing what you said, it didn't work. When going into the properties of the device itself, it says 'This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31)'
