CPU
AMD FX-6100 19 °C
Zambezi 32nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
MSI 760GM-P34(FX) (MS-7641) (CPU1) 30 °C
Graphics
S220HQL (1920x1080@60Hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (ASUStek Computer Inc) 45 °C

What kind of cpu should i consider buying as an upgrade? should i leave my mobo or get a new one as well?

Solution
The cheapest alternative would be H81 motherboard paired with the Xeon 1231, which is priced as Intel i5 but performs like ~i7 4770. The i5's are currently the sweet spot for gaming, and grabbing the Xeon won't hurt. Cheaper alternative if you go Intel would of course be the i3, though starting to fall a bit behind due to it's hyperthreading and not 4 real cores.

300-500 for mobo and CPU you need to spend a bit more than 500 to jump to the x99 platform. The thing is, choosing this Xeon for the price of the i5 but performance of i7 4770 is worth it because you really don't need more performance than the i5 4690k anyways, the only downside is no overclocking on the Xeon. With this motherboard you can SLI later on and the Xeon will be good enough for 2 970's. Overclocking in general is usually not worth it because the money you spend on a cooler is usually enough to buy a more powerful processor for.

Get a K series Intel sku If you think you would overclock at some point , because you probably will.
the i5 4670k and 4690k are priced roughly at $240 USD. i think. not on sale price. These Quad Core CPUs are recommended by most and for good reason. Pretty much the same in game performance as any other i7. Most Games.
If not into overclocking the i5 4590 is good. Even some i3 can keep a GTX 970 flowing... in certain games.
