Just look up general overclocking guides and you should be fine. As long as you're using safe voltages (No higher than 1.35v), worse that can happen is your computer fails or boot past bios or bluescreens a few time, all which can be fixed by returning to stock speeds. Look up what speeds other people have achieved with your processor so you know what sort of clock speeds and voltages to aim for. If you're running games at 30fps now I doubt overclocking will make too much of a difference anyway.
