Hey, everyone.

I only have 3 drive bays to work with for my HDD and SSD since I removed the other 3 drive bays completely from my case so as to improve air flow. That said, would it be better to mount the SSD in the bay above the HDD or below the HDD? Also, is it better to mount them both in the top 2 (of the 3) drive bays, leaving the most bottom bay empty, or should one of them be in the bottom drive bay?

Thanks in advance!

It doesn't really matter.

And a lot of cases sold in the last couple of years have dedicated 2.5" drive mount spaces. Does yours?

Well I had to screw the SSD into the drive bay for it to sit tight, otherwise the drive bay would be too big so not sure if you consider that dedicated but I didn't have to buy my own drive bay to accommodate the SSD if that's what you mean. My case is the corsair 500r

I removed the middle three (3.5 in/2.5in) drive bays completely from the case, including the compartment that was holding them in. I don't need 6 drive bays, I'd rather use the better airflow. Ok I'll just mount them in any order then. One more problem though... the dam SATA power connector isnt plugging into any of my drives (I've tried optical drive + SSD), it just gets stuck and doesn't go in all the way no matter how much force I use. What should I do?
