I am looking for a mid budget build $550-$700.

I feel like for my uses the AMD FX 6300 would be a good fit.
I do a good amount of multitasking along with the gaming.

I would also like the idea of being able to overclock the processor later.

Thanks in advance!

Preferably closer to the $550 end the price point.
If it is closer to $700 it would need the operating system.

Also archaic I cannot "mouse" over your avatar. I am on mobile. To me you do not even have an avatar :0

At that price point it might have to be AMD system to get OC.
I have 3570K, Asus P8Z77-M PRO, 16GB G.Skill Sniper 1600, EVGA 750 Ti SC, Sandisk Extreme SSD, Antec Earthwatts EA500D, Asus VS238H-P monitor, and R4 case.

At that price point compromises have to be made unfortunately , set the price at $600 max as thst leaves room for the os .
In this build its the motherboard - its still good quality, will still push big overclocks with a 6300 should you require - its downfall is limited expansion ports & its only sata 2 as opposed to sata 3 - with all but the fastest ssd drives this will take a 10% performance hit max should you drop an ssd drive in future.

With this build its a better full size atx motherboard,at the expense of a lower powered GPU (some would disagree but it definitely is inferior to the 280x IMO) & a lower quality PSU - but one I would consider wholly acceptable for the lowered power consumption.

^ for that price you'd be better just taking my second build & adding a ssd & the os.
The 960 is so much more powerful than the 750ti that they're incomparable ,a 6300+aftermarket cooler is a far better choice than the 6350, & 3 sticks of ram will lose you dual channel dropping memory throughput (8gb is enough anyway for all but the most extenuating circumstances)

You Could Always Go For The AMD A10 APU 7850k.......it is good enough and can handle games well considering you play at mid settings.........

Other Specs:-
500watt PSU
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
120GB SSD......(REALLY GREAT FOR GAMING.......)
