So the board I'm inquiring about is the ASUS Z97-A. According to the manual (and what I can see), there are 6 7-pin SATA 6G connectors, two of which are SATA express (the 5th and 6th ports). Unfortunately the manual doesn't tell me which ones I should plug my devices (SSD, HDD, Optical Drive) into for optimal performance. Also, I have no clue what SATA express so if someone could explain that to me as well that'd be great. So there's SATA1, SATA2, SATA3, and SATA 4; then there's SATA 5 and SATA 6 which fall under SATA express. Which device should go into which port?
