I'm looking to build a PC that i will use for 3D Animation since i am much more experienced with the field and need a better PC for highly detailed scene rendering.

Problem is i have never built a custom PC in my life and don't know any parts that would be good for this type of thing. I would also need a keyboard and mouse and monitor aswell.

Primary uses as i said is 3D Animation so software like Maya, 3DS Max Mudbox, Zbrush, Photoshop, NUKE and Vue.

Secondary uses would be PC gaming (doesn't need to be ultra high graphics setting type of PC but one that would run games smoothly without lag) and Video Editing so software like Sony Vegas Pro 12 and Premier Pro.

Thanks for taking the time to help me with this and i appreciate all the suggestions/builds that i get.

PS. Budget isn't really a concern at this point but i'd like to think i could build one for under 2.5K pounds.
