OK so I have been using my computer this week playing games etc etc and I have received 3 Bluescreens in just this week alone I'm starting to get a little worried now so I came here hoping you can help me. My bluescreen seems to happen when I'm inside a game on a certain map unfortunately I cannot show you the dump data because I heard somewhere CCleaner can help which erased the dump files I have tried updating my drivers for my graphics card and doing every possible update for windows 7 I believe the bluescreen was 0x00000116.

Ok so here are my specs:

AMD FX 6300
AMD R9 270
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
500GB Seagate Hardrive
8GB Hyper X Fury RAM

The drivers I have installed are:

GPU: 14.501.1003.0
BIOs: Original one from the CD

My temps at idle are around 30 - 40 degrees and it only seems to happen when I'm playing counter strike global offensive.

Thanks,

Ben

Bug Check 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR

basically the video hardware stopped responding, windows told it to reset it self and it failed to respond within the time out period so windows shut the system down.

A bunch of things can cause this:

I would start by:
update or reset your BIOS to defaults, do not overclock in BIOS until you figure out the cause of this problem.
this will rebuild the database of hardware settings that the BIOS sends to windows and windows uses to talk to the hardware.

you most likely have updated the graphics driver already but, if you don't have speakers in your monitor that are provide sound via HDMI or display port cable. you might want to go to windows control panel device manager and disable any GPU unused high definition sound drivers.

if you have a nvidia card, update your ethernet driver or disable the nvidia streaming.

if you have a older machine (older than 2013) then update your BIOS and USB 2 and USB 3.0 drivers
(I know it sounds unrelated, but I have seen directx share interrupts with old broken usb drivers)

there are more things to check, like power connections, make sure the PSU has proper power, check to make sure your system is not over heating,...

got to run.

I was going to update my BIOS but it said it can be risky so what do I do? How do I disable my high definition sound drivers? And finally my computer is quite new like built later end of last year.

Thanks Again,

Ben

OK so I tried re-installing windows (don't know why) that did not help what so I ever. do you have any thoughts, is it my graphics card or any of my hardware as I have warranties.

Thanks,

Ben
