So I installed a SSD on my pc yesterday. Apparently I went the worst way about getting my OS onto the drive. My os disc did not offer a reformat option so I just installed on os on SSd to then remove the os from hdd. Once I got there I was setting up my system te way I liked it. On to reformatting the hdd to purely be storage. Through diskpart I was unable to format because the page file was being stored on the hdd not the SSd. When I moved my page file over a restart was required. After that restart I have not been able to boot either hard drive. Tried both together and individually. In bios my SSd is shown as frozen. I have secure erased but when I load back into bios it shows my SSd as ready, but all of my peripherals are not functioning. So a hard restart and my as is frozen again. I have tried installing os from disc again but I get the error cd/DVD device driver not found. My bios is also up to date. And I'm struggling to load windows 7 on USB tool on my wife's computer which is win 8.1. Currently I'm attempting to download my windows 8.1 and install via USB but I'm running out of ideas an could really use some help. Also sorry for the block msg, currently am limited to using my phone to troubleshoot.

Well I lucked out. Buddy of mine finally pulled through for me. We took the easy way out and wiped both drives clean, started with a fresh install of Windows on to the SSD and moved on from there. Thanks anyways guys. Mods, you can close.
