Hello THW society!
As in title, I've got a problem with BIOS. To be precise:
2 days ago, MoBo G31M-S2L, Celeron CPU, Zotac 8600GT GPU, 2x 1GB Kingston RAM, 120GB Barracuda HDD, 500W PSU, were working.
Today, same setup is NOT working, BIOS was freezing right after showing CPU/RAM specifications on screen. No reaction for anything except reset/power cut. I've cleared CMOS, trying change specification of PC, and try to boot it partially - 1st try MoBo+CPU+RAM, then MoBo+CPU+RAM+GPU... But it failed at 1st attempt(MoBo+CPU+RAM). Now it's not even booting BIOS. After pressing power button, nothing happend. No screen, no speaker sound, full silence, only HDD & fans are working.

Setup was not overheating, all voltage are good, all parts are also OK(checked on 2nd PC).

Any ideas?

As well, 2nd case. My friend got "new" MoBo with THIS power connector. Is it possible to use "normal" PSU to make it work? Or voltage are diffrent and it's required to get special adapter/special PSU? E-Bay link highly approved

Thanks for help in advance!

you can use any psu to test your computer, even your friends psu, every power conector is amde to be backwards compatible, for example the 8 pin cpu power conector from psu can be fit in a 4 pin conector on the motherboard. Yes u can make a 8 pin motherboard power conector, with 4 pin psu cpu conector.
