Hello ive been wanting to boost my game performance and overall computer performance these last few weeks. I currently have a AMD FX-6100 CPU and i want to upgrade for a faster CPU. I cant really decide on what CPU to get and, i don't want to make the wrong decision by spending money on a CPU that's not compatible or doesn't effect performance at all. I need a CPU that can handle games better with recording, and also render videos for YouTube faster and overall be able to run more tasks at once smoother.

I have a low budget and would like to keep under $200, i know this is a small budget for what i want but ive found some good CPU's for 130 but they were not compatible. (it would be nice if there was a CPU that would be good around 130 as mentioned)

Specs:
Operating System
Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU
AMD FX-6100
Zambezi 32nm Technology
RAM
8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz (9-9-9-24)
Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-78LMT-S2 (Socket M2)
Graphics
S24B150 (1920x1080@60Hz)
Panasonic-TV (1366x768@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 (Gigabyte)
Storage
931GB Western Digital WDC WD10 EZEX-22RKKA0 SATA Disk Device (SATA)
Optical Drives
HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NSB0 SATA CdRom Device
Audio
NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)

That board only supports 95w cpus so pretty much leaves u with an fx6300 and not much of an upgrade. The FX 8370e is a 95w cpu, but is not listed on the motherboard support list. So either u chance it and go with the 8370e or get a new board and cpu, which is find of hard to do with ur budget.

Only option is get a 8350 and get a gigabyte g78lmt usb3 as it supports the 125w fx cpus

There are currently three revisions of that motherboard and only one (rev 1.2) supports a $130 processor (FX-8320E) that would work with your motherboard and provide you with a boost in overall performance (there is also the FX-8370E @ $190). The revision is typically printed on the corner of the motherboard. If you look at the top-down image as shown on Newegg and zoom in on the top left corner, you'll see where it's printed.

So the FX-8370E would work with my motherboard?

Again, it depends on what revision of the motherboard you have. If you have revision 1.2 and update to BIOS F6, then yes.

What would you recommend that would be the best upgrade? or are the upgrades so little that i shouldn't waist my money?
