Could I use a closed-loop liquid cooler in my situation?

Since Grand Theft Auto V came out I've been playing it hours at a time and been noticing my PC has been getting really hot, I downloaded a program to check temps and my i7 4770K @ Stock 3.5 GHz temps while playing hit 86°C at it's highest point (few months ago it never passed 80°C).

I'm currently using the Stock Intel Cooler, I am thinking of switching to a Corsair Hydro Series H110 280MM Liquid CPU Cooler. I have a Corsair Obsidian Series 750D Full Tower ATX Case, the PC is placed on carpet under a table in a closed room. I live in Vancouver and temperatures here are around 15°C but in the summer temperatures average 25°C and sometimes 30°C.

Also would waiting for the H110IGT be a better choice?

I am also planning to OC to 4.0 GHz if I can use the H110.

OK, I'm a bit lost here.
The one thing that you should not do...put a PC directly on the carpet...is the thing you don't want to change, because "it'll ruin my room in a way."

But you want...

A piece of wood
A couple of floor tiles
A clean pizza box
Something, anything, other than carpet.. That is probably blocking airflow, and also sucking in a lot of dust and junk from the carpet.

I don't want to do this as it'll ruin my room in a way. Would the H110/H110IGT work in my PC with minimal problems?

Theres no fans at the bottom so no dust is being sucked in.

But you want to add a mediocre performing, not inexpensive, liquid cooler, and still keep that PC on the carpet...

Where is the PSU? On the bottom? How is it oriented? Sucking air from below (as recommended)?
