about 10 years ago I took a course with Solidworks....I thought the school install a student version, but it seems I got standard version since it never expired.
So in the event that my hard drive would crash made a mirror copy of the hard drive with Acronis software.
This backup was made when the system still not have xp Service Pack 2.
Fast forward to date, my computer is on the verge of crashing as all kinds of inconsistencies are starting to develop so I bought a new computer.
I discovered that the system I bought can't install original xp from cd ( without slipsteaming sp2/3 ) let alone my mirrored disk copy. I don't know if it's because my new computer is pci-express or bios on motherboard, both or something else?
The guy at the computer store where I got my new system believes it will be hard to find a "new" system that can take original xp without sp2/3.
Anyone happen to know an online vendor that sells "new" computers that can take xp?
