Okay, I'm upgrading my CPU, motherboard and PSU...

From -
CPU: AMD FX-4130
GPU: Nvidia Gtx 960 Asus Strix
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
Ram: Adata 8GB (2X 4GB) 1600MHz
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2tb
PSU: Trust 570W(old and loud(untrustworthy))

To -
CPU: AMD FX-6300
GPU: same
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0
Ram: same
HDD: same
PSU: Corsair CX500M

Keep looking at power required and they say 450W but then I look at Max power withdraw from the fx 6300 and graphs show 227W although the TDP is 125W I replace this figure with the TDP figure and get around 554W. Should I trust these graphs and invest in a 600W PSU?

Corsair is like the everyone's PSU. We use them in the shop because we buy in bulk. Should only be used at last resort if you are gaming.
Might I suggest this one- http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9
It is an XFX made by seasonic and is about $10 - $15 dollar more if you want to stay in the 500 Watt range.
Or this one-http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1650snlb9
That is XFX as well and made by seasonic 650 Watt for $65.98 (rebate)
Hope I was able to help.

I always opt for a power supply that has more than I will need. kinda like the condom principle, better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it. your next video card or cpu may need just a bit more power, you are already putting money into the system. a 600-650 watt power supply will cost marginally more and will be more useful in the future. but it should run the system as is.
