Looking to build a new PC.

Case : Bitfenix prodigy M

Motherboard : MSI B85M Gaming

CPU : Intel G3258 Anniv ed.

GPU : GTX 750 TI OC

Ram : 8GB (2x4) 1600Mhz

CPU Cooler : Deepcool Gammaxx s40

I was wondering if Corsair VS550 or VS650 will be a good psu on my build.

This will be an HTPC, some work on EXCEL and mild gaming.

And can you recommend and psu under $65 or Php 3,000.00

Thank you!

PS. I'm not overclocking anything. and just playing games like Counter strike global offensive etc. etc.

Go for this one, this is a good psu brand/manufacturer cheap but with high quality:

Seasonic (M12II) 520watts 80+ Bronze

It is under tier 1 or tier 2 of psu tier:

That's a 500 or 600w Seasonic, both under 3000. Or the 400w would be cheaper still, but either of those will work fine, although the 600w will give you more room if you decide to get a more powerful gpu.

The Corsair VS are about the bottom grade Corsair unit possible, any of the Seasonic are much better grade psu.

The Corsair CX is barely better than the VS line, they are both slated for light gaming and/or office use. Will it handle a 750ti and Intel cpu? Sure, not a problem. Until it overheats and the mediocre capacitors fail the day after the return policy expires.

Corsair has several excellent components, they have good ram, good liquid coolers, even some good psu's such as AX, HX, TXv2, AXi. They also have some not so good stuff like VS, CX, TX etc.

Just because they are a huge company when it comes to pc stuff, don't mean all their stuff is really good.
