Need to know if this processor and motherboard will work together for new parts in a gaming computer?

Not to tech savvy and i'm working on my computer for gaming. So please tell me if this would work fine or if there is a different route i should take because by budget is $200 can possibly push to $250 for these parts

Motherboard: MSI A88XM GAMING FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Processor: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W FD6300WMHKBOX Desktop Processor

that cpu and motherboard dont even work together for one the cpu is am3+ while the motherboard is fm2/fm2+ get what learningbitbybit suggested since you aren't very knowledgeable of pc parts and what he/she suggested is way better than what you were gonna buy
