Desktop returns to window start screen.

I have an "emachine T2385" and I have notice that after a while when I leave it on and away from my desk...the screen has goes to the windows start screen and freezes,..I have to wait for an hour before it will start, and I have also notice that the computer tower is hot...Can you give me any ideas of what may be the preoblem...???

see whether you processor fan rotates...
Also keep the cpu with air flow... without that your pc become very hot which in turn causes some errors like this..
FIrst leave your pc off for some hours...
let it be cool...
then try your pc on and then post results if problem persists...
