When I turned my computer on tonight I found that I couldn't connect to my network. All it was saying was that I was connected to an unidentified network. Plus my antivirus program, Avast, gave me an alert that it's firewall had been turned off, when I tried to turn it on it gave me an error. Idk if this is related but I thought I should mention it.
Now I have tried several things, restarted the computer multiple times, restart modem (which my computer is connected to directly) and my router, and a couple solutions I found online.

First solution:
"I discovered that my network adapter Teredo Tunnel Pseudo-Interface giving me error code 10, so I used this solution I had found on this site:
Hey everyone, I had the same code 10 problem with Teredo Tunnel Pseudo-Interface when I connected my laptop with a public library router. Fortunately I found this solution which really worked it out! (My OS is Vista x64 SP2, but I think XP and Win7 can also follow the same solution)
Solution:
1. Open command prompt with administrator credentials (Find CMD and right-click - Run as Administrator).
2. Enter netsh environment. Type "netsh" and ENTER.
3. "int teredo" and ENTER
4. "set state disabled" and ENTER.
5. Open Device Manager and uninstall "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface".
6. Open command prompt with administrator credentials once again.
7. netsh + ENTER.
8. "int ipv6" + ENTER
9. "set teredo client" + ENTER
10. Open Device Manager and Scan for new hardware.
11. Select "Show hidden devices" from the View menu. You will now see that it is present without errors with any luck."

It didn't quite work, I couldn't find the hidden drive no matter how hard I tried. So then I tried this solution:

"S76brx says:
"Here's what worked for me. It's in the windows knowledge base.
In the start menu search bar type in REGEDIT to open the registry editor. Navigate through the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\TCPIP6\PARAMETERS. In the right pane, right click Disabled Components and select edit. Set the DWord value to 0."

[ In my computer DWord was set to ff. You must Restart your computer and the teredo tunneling adapter will now start. ]"

This didn't work either. So then I looked up how to reinstall that drive and got it reinstalled, now it doesn't have any error codes on it, but I still can't connect.

I recently had my hard drive replaced, but it was working fine for over a week.
The make is gigabyte technology co ltd and the model is x58a-ud5.
I have it connected directly to the modem, I borrowed a friend's usb wireless adapter and it still won't connect.

When I run the troubleshoot and select internet connections it finds there is a problem with my wireless network connection 2 doesn't have a valid IP configuration and it says the same thing about local area connection. When I select network adapters it has the same errors.

Also I tried another solution online where I turned everything off and unplugged everything for a few hours. Still no internet connection, and I'm still getting that alert

I also tried the netsh winsock reset command but that didn't work.

I also uninstalled bonjour.

Any ideas?
