Hello all,

I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and I am having issues with graphics driver updates. When I first loaded in I noticed that the resolution was low (My monitor is in 1920x1080) so I attempted to change it but it wouldn't let me go any higher so I manually went into the device manager and installed the new graphics driver. After it was done installing it prompted me to restart so I did and it would load up just fine but after the windows logo appears all that comes up is a purple screen (The colour that I chose when asked to personalise) and a movable mouse cursor. If I restart it again it then takes a good 3 or 4 minutes each time before loading anything and once it does start loading it comes up with the same purple screen.

I booted into safe mode and uninstalled the driver and then restarted it and it boots fine but the graphics driver isn't installed and I still can't change the resolution. I downloaded Nvidia GeForce Experience (My graphics card is a GTX 760) and tried to update it that way but when it is installing the screen goes black for a couple of seconds and the resolution changes to 1920x1080 but it freezes and when I restart it does exactly the same thing as before (Goes to a purple screen and takes a while to boot up).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
