pci express 2.0 x16 vs pci express x16

Hi everybody here :)
I have a duo core pc, the manual says It has a pci express x16. I want to buy a new graphic card that is pci express 2.0 x16 . Will it work fine or not?

Thank you Force, I have checked my mother board through Auslogics System information and here is the screen shots. I don't know the name of the mother board or the GPU or whether it is compatible with PCI express 2.0 x 16 or not.
